Cincelado (Handcrafted Chisel)

Cincelado is an artisanal technique that implies marking the leather using a chisel or pricking iron.  Each piece is unique with an exclusive design that reflects the culture and talent of Mexican artisans.

Leather Care and Storage

1.     Clean Regularly: wipe with soft, dry or slightly damp cloth to remove dirt. Avoid harsh cleaners.
2.     Condition the Leather. Use a leather conditioner every few months to keep it soft. Test first on a small area to check for discoloration.
3.     Avoid Water: Keep leather dry. If product gets wet, remove excess water with absorbent paper and let it air-dry naturally.
4.     Remove Stains Quickly: For oil, blot and use cornstarch. For Ink, use leather cleaner. Never rub too hard.
5.     Store Carefully: Keep out of direct sunlight and heat. When not in use, fill with paper and store it in a dry place. This will prevent damage to the overall shape and condition of the purse.
6.     Handle Gently: Don’t overload bags and avoid sharp objects that might scratch the leather.

Embroidery

Handmade embroidery in Mexico is a vibrant tradition with profound cultural significance. Every embroidery style tells a distinct story utilizing ancestral techniques that have been passed down through generations. It embodies the heritage of the community that produces it. Our embroidery comes directly from artisans in Chiapas, Mexico.

Maintenance

Cow Hide

It is the natural skin and hair of the cow. It retains the original color of the animal, and it is mostly used on rugs, furniture and purses.
